The Bathroom was the first major change in the house. Completely ripping out the old suite and starting again. The Bathroom really needed a shower. As a little reminder check out the bathroom before pics. We created a small wall with shelving behind and tiled up to the ceiling height.

Things I have learned –
Square sanitary fittings are not the best idea if you live in a hard water area with no water softener. The water sits on top and stains the finish and who wants to polish taps constantly?
Despite discussing in depth with the builder what was required when they quoted – I should have gone through everything again when they started as there was a mix up with the amount of tiling required.
If possible get recommendations for builders. Difficult for us not knowing many people who had building work done in the area. Even using checkatrade did not help identify issues like inconsistency of what times and days they were going to show up and how clean and tidy they were. I had a few days where no one showed up and a nightmare when one of the builders walked through the house with a radiator pouring black radiator water throughout the house. Also, despite promising to remove all waste on a number of occasions, they didn’t. – As you can tell I won’t be using these guys again but this gave David an excuse to take the Landrover out for a trip to the tip. – Such a big kid!
