This is a design of a coffee bar and seating area in a disused part of a transportation company’s factory. Based on the concept of the “railways” and “transport,” the space is designed using robust materials such as timber and steel to echo those used within the rail industry.

The space was to be an area for staff to take breaks but for management to also entertain clients. Different levels of privacy within the space have been designed from loose stools and chairs to small, high backed meeting pods. Circular “tunnel-like” pods line a main thoroughfare to create a direct route from the reception to the restaurant.
